Soundwork in Antwerp

Soundwork for deep relaxation and inner balance.

During a soundwork session you simply get to lie down, listen and relax. With live sound, silence and a gentle body scan I guide you out of your head and back into your body.

What is Mana Balance?

Sound as an invitation to balance

At Mana Balance I guide soundwork sessions with singing bowls, gong, handpan, tuning forks and other instruments. You lie down comfortably on a yoga mat, supported by a cushion, a blanket and a roll under your knees.

Each session begins with a short guided body scan. After that, there is nothing left to do. You get to listen, feel, rest and receive. No performance, no technique to master — just you, your breath, the sound and the space to slow down.

Who is it for?

Who is soundwork for?

Soundwork is for anyone longing for rest, slowing down and a moment for themselves. You need no experience with meditation, yoga or breathwork. All you need is the willingness to lie still for a while and listen.

  • For when your mind is busy
  • For when you want to release stress or tension
  • For when it is hard to come to rest
  • For a gentle way into meditation
  • For giving yourself an hour of deep relaxation

What to expect

What happens during a session?

A soundwork session lasts about one hour. You come in, choose a spot and make yourself comfortable. Then I guide you with a gentle body scan out of your head and into your body. From there a soundscape unfolds with different instruments — sometimes subtle and quietening, sometimes fuller and deeper.

About Jan

Jan Wielemans

Soundwork guide & Sound Practitioner

My name is Jan Wielemans. With Mana Balance I want to create a place where people get to slow down, feel and reconnect with the rest within themselves.

Sound, breath and movement have long run as a thread through my life. In this first phase of Mana Balance I focus entirely on soundwork: live sound sessions where instruments, silence and body awareness come together.

I deliberately do not call myself a therapist. What I offer is not a medical treatment, but a guided experience of sound and relaxation. The sounds do their work in their own way. There is nothing you need to force.

For me, soundwork is a gentle way out of the head and back into the body. Not through effort, but through slowing down.

Practical

Good to know

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing you can easily lie in for an hour. Layers are handy, as your body can cool down a little during deep relaxation.

Do I need to bring anything?

For group sessions a yoga mat, cushion, blanket and knee roll are provided. You are always welcome to bring something extra if it feels more comfortable to you.

Do I need experience?

No. You need no experience with meditation, yoga, breathwork or soundwork.

What if I fall asleep?

That is fine. Falling asleep is not wrong. Your body takes rest when it needs it.

Is soundwork therapy?

No. Mana Balance offers soundwork as a relaxing, body-oriented experience. It does not replace medical, psychological or therapeutic care.

When is some caution needed?

Soundwork is usually gentle and accessible, but in case of pregnancy, epilepsy, serious psychological complaints, a recent operation or medical doubt, please get in touch beforehand.
